Format and style of the main manuscript
For the main manuscript, Journal of Medical Discovery prefers to receive a manuscript including all figures and tables embedded at the end. Manuscripts should be prepared in docx format (Word 2007 or higher version). The Supplementary Material should also be submitted as a single separate file in docx or PDF format. Upon acceptance, image files with high-resolution (more than 300 dpi) are required and the acceptable formats for figures are TIF, PNG or JPG.

- Supplementary text, figures, and tables should be prepared as a separate pdf file.

Supplementary Information
Title page includes title, authors, affiliation and running title. The title should be no more than 100 characters (including spaces). Authors and the affiliated institutions are linked by consecutive numbers. Authors should be presented as Full name, First Name then Last Name (eg. John Smith). The affiliations are department, institute, city, country/state, zip code. They should be listed beneath the title. A running title briefly describing the full title should be put at the end of the title page.
Abstracts of Research Articles and Reports should explain to the general reader why the research was done, what was found and why the results are important. They should start with some brief BACKGROUND information: a sentence giving a broad introduction to the field comprehensible to the general reader, and then a sentence of more detailed background specific to your study. This should be followed by an explanation of the OBJECTIVES/METHODS and the RESULTS. The final sentence should outline the main CONCLUSIONS of the study, in terms that will be comprehensible to all our readers. The Abstract is distinct from the main body of the text, and thus should not be the only source of background information critical to understanding the manuscript. Please do not include citations or abbreviations in the Abstract. The abstract should be 250 words or less. For Comments or Case Reports, a brief abstract of not more than 200 words is acceptable. Keywords should be presented following the Abstract.
Main Text composed of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion. The introduction should provide sufficient background for the readers in other disciplines easily to follow the manuscript. It will make the importance of this finding is very clear. Symbols, abbreviations, and acronyms should be defined the first time they are used. Materials and Methods should detail the methods and are able to be applied to repeat the experiments by other researchers. Results can be divided into several major parts to clearly present the findings in the paper. Discussion about the results and relative background should be combined to state the significance of the work and the weakness or further work to be done in the study. All tables and figures should be cited in numerical order. All data must be shown either in the main text or in the Supplementary Materials
Conflict of Interest should be disclosed after Discussion. Authors of research articles should disclose any financial arrangement they may have with a company about its products. Such information will be held in confidence while the paper is under review and will not influence the editorial decision. When the article is accepted for publication, a disclosure statement will appear in the article.
Acknowledgments should be presented as separated paragraphs including the source of funding, researchers or organizations that provided technical support or manuscript polishing.
References must be double-spaced and numbered consecutively in the manuscript as they are cited. List all the authors when there are six or fewer. Please list the first three authors if there are Seven or even more followed by “et al.”. The following are sample references:

Figures should be called out within the text. Figures should be numbered in the order of the citation in the text. The Journal reserves the right to modify or redraw the figures to meet our specifications for publication. The author must explicitly acquire all rights to the illustration from the artist in order for us to publish it. High-resolution figures of more than 300 dpi are needed for publication. The acceptable formats for figures are TIF, PPT, AI, PSD or JPG. Please describe and clearly indicate all modifications, selective digital adjustments, or electronic enhancements in all digital images. If photographs of persons are used, they should not be identifiable or the photographs should be used under the written permission of them.
Figure legends should be double-spaced and numbered in the order of their citation in the text. A short figure title should be given as the first line of the legend. No single legend should be longer than 200 words. Nomenclature, abbreviations, symbols, and units used in a figure should match those used in the text. Any individually labeled figure parts or panels (A, B, etc.) should be specifically described by part name within the legend. Figure legends should be Fig. #: (Begin each figure caption with a label, “Fig. 1.” for example, as a new paragraph)
Tables are placed after the references and should supplement, but not duplicate the text and they should be in numerical order. Every vertical column should have a heading, consisting of a title with the unit of measure in parentheses. Units should not change within a column. Footnotes should contain information relevant to specific entries or parts of the table. For Original Articles, there is normally a limit of 8 figures and tables (total) per manuscript. Extensive figures and tables may be considered as supplementary materials for Web-only publication.Table #: (Begin each table caption with a label “Table 1.”, etc. as a new paragraph)
Supplementary Information In general, Supplemental Information is limited to data and other materials supporting the main conclusions of the article. However, these materials cannot be included in the main manuscript for reasons such as space or file format restrictions. Supplementary information is preferred to be submitted as a separate document in docx or PDF file.
Modification of figures
Journal of Medical Discovery does not allow certain electronic enhancements or manipulations of micrographs, gels, or other digital images. Selective enhancement or alteration of one part of an image is not acceptable. In addition, we may ask authors of papers returned for revision to provide additional documentation of their primary data.
Statistical Methods
For the analysis of categorical outcomes, exact methods or asymptotic methods with appropriate should be used and noted. The reported P values should be two-sided. The basis for these guidelines has been described by “Guidelines for statistical reporting in articles for medical journals: amplifications and explanations. Ann Intern Med 1988;108:266-73.”
Units of Measurement
Authors should express all measurements in conventional units, with Système International (SI) units throughout the text. Conventional units should be used in figures and tables, with conversion factors given in legends or footnotes.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations are not strongly recommended, except for units of measurement. For the first time an abbreviation appears, it should be preceded by the words that it means.
Names of Drug or Chemical Compounds
Generic names should be used. When proprietary brands are used in research, please note the brand name and the manufacturer name in parentheses after the first mention of the generic name in the Methods section.
Studies Involving Humans and Animals
For manuscripts about studies involving human subjects, Please add in the Experimental Procedures section the statements identifying the committee approving the study and confirming that informed consent was obtained from all subjects. All experiments on live vertebrates or higher invertebrates must be performed in accordance with relevant institutional and national guidelines and regulations, such as the ARRIVE guidelines and the NIH-sponsored workshop regarding experimental design and reporting standards. In the manuscript, please add in the Experimental Procedures section the statement identifying the committee has approved the experiments and confirming that all experiments are conformed to the relevant regulatory standards.
Language
JMD only publishes papers in English and spelling should conform to the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Current English. Editors reserve the right to modify the language of the accepted manuscripts to conform to style or grammatical standards, and the minor alterations may be seen by authors on the proof stage.
For authors whose native language is not English, we can help to have their manuscript professionally edited to improve the English if the manuscript is considered for publication.
Review and Editorial decision
The manuscripts submitted to our journal are fast reviewed, in 20 days from submission to first final decision after peer review. The accepted manuscripts are published early online 7 days after acceptance. Manuscripts are examined by the editorial staff and then sent to outside reviewers. We reserve the right of final selection of the reviewers, even the authors could suggest the names of possible reviewers. Communications about manuscripts will be sent after the review and editorial decision-making process is complete. For potentially acceptable manuscripts, the period between the receipt of all reviews and an editorial decision is usually within 2-3 weeks.
The corresponding author will receive the e-mail about the processing status of the manuscript, including any notification of revision or acceptance.

Fast Tracking
This Journal considers Fast Tracking requests. Send your queries to editor@e-discoverypublication.com to ask any questions regarding the status of the manuscripts. You will be replied by us within 48 hours. Rapid Review allows a manuscript to be reviewed and we will make a decision within two weeks. A Rapid Review will give rapid release if the paper is accepted. However, the release time is mainly decided according to the time of acceptation.
